Who we are

Green Certification for Consultations and Quality Solutions (GCCQS) is an independent certification, inspection and verification body headquartered in Damascus. We audit management systems against international standards, verify greenhouse-gas inventories and sustainability statements, inspect goods, equipment and works before they change hands, and train the people who have to keep those systems running.
Working in the region has a practical meaning. An auditor who works in Arabic reads the procedure, the training record and the maintenance log in the language they were written in, with no translator standing between the evidence and the finding. An auditor who works here already knows what a plant does when mains power fails for six hours, and which controls hold up when it does. A site visit is a drive, not a visa application.
Proximity does not lower the bar. Evidence is sampled across sites and shifts rather than taken from a prepared file, findings are graded the same way from one client to the next, and the certification decision is taken by a reviewer who did not carry out the audit.

Mission

GCCQS gives organisations in Syria and the wider region a credible route to third-party assessment without sending the work abroad. We certify management systems, verify greenhouse-gas data, inspect goods and works, and train the teams who carry the system after we leave. Two things come out of it: a report you can act on this week, and a certificate someone else can rely on.
Vision
A certificate issued here, read the way one issued anywhere is read
An exporter should not have to repeat an audit abroad to satisfy a buyer. A lender should not discount a local report on principle. A regulator should be able to take a verified emissions figure at face value, because of how it was checked. That is earned by unglamorous things: the same method every time, and decisions that can be evidenced.
Impartiality and ethics
A certificate is worth only what the process behind it can withstand.
We work to the principles set out in ISO/IEC 17021-1 for bodies that audit and certify management systems. Six of them you can ask us to demonstrate.
Consultancy is kept separate
Where GCCQS has advised on building a management system, GCCQS does not certify it — and we never sell the remedy for a finding we raised.
Conflicts are checked first
Teams are screened for previous employment, consultancy, financial interest and personal relationships before assignment. The screening is recorded in the audit file.
Findings are not negotiable
A nonconformity is raised against the requirement it breaches, and closed on evidence of correction and root-cause action. Not on assurances.
The decision sits elsewhere
It is taken by a reviewer who took no part in the audit, from the file rather than a recommendation. A refusal comes with its reasons.
Confidentiality is in writing
Every auditor and technical expert signs before they see anything. Information leaves only with your written consent, or where the law compels it.
Complaints and appeals have a route
Logged on receipt, handled by someone uninvolved in what is being challenged, and closed with a written outcome. Raising one costs you nothing.

Integrity
Reports record the evidence as it was found on the day, including the parts nobody wants to read. No one here may soften, delay or remove a finding for commercial reasons.

Impartiality
We do not audit our own advice, and we do not sell the fix for a problem we found. Where a nonconformity needs outside help, the consultant is yours to choose.

Competence
Auditors are assigned by sector and standard, not by who happens to be free. We turn down work we are not qualified to carry out rather than learn on your site.

Confidentiality
What the team sees on site stays between you and the team. Documents, process data and findings are held under written obligations by every auditor and technical expert we engage.

Responsiveness
Enquiries are answered by a named person with a realistic date attached. Every finding is presented at the closing meeting, so nothing in the written report arrives as a surprise.

Sustainability
We verify other organisations' environmental data, so we hold our own to the same test: measured, documented and open to challenge.
How certification works
Five stages, in a fixed order
The five layers the seal on our home page comes apart into. Timings vary; the sequence does not.

Application
You give us the scope, the standards, the sites and the headcount. We confirm we can audit your sector, and calculate the audit days.
- 02
Quote & Agreement
A written quotation: days per stage, the team, the surveillance schedule, the total. Nothing is added later that was not stated up front.
- 03
Stage 1 & Stage 2 Audit
Stage 1 reviews the documented system and states what would block Stage 2. Stage 2 assesses the system in operation, across shifts and sites.
- 04
Certification Decision
Your evidence of correction goes to a reviewer who took no part in the audit. That reviewer decides, and the certificate states your scope precisely.
- 05
Surveillance & Recertification
Surveillance in each of the next two years, concentrated where risk and previous findings sit. The third year re-covers the whole scope.
