Every engagement
Four things hold, whichever line you use
Not features. These are the conditions that make a third-party result worth anything outside your own organisation.
The scope is written down first
Before anyone travels, both sides have agreed what is being assessed, at which sites, and against which standard or framework.
People are assigned on competence
Teams are picked for the sector and the standard, not for who is free that week. Where we are not competent to assess something, we say so.
Findings are tied to evidence
Each finding names what was seen, where, and which requirement it relates to. Anything that is a judgement rather than an observation is labelled as one.
The result is a document
You receive a written report you can act on internally and put in front of a customer, a buyer or a regulator. The outcome is never left as a conversation.
Where a decision or a signed statement is issued, it is taken by someone who did not carry out the work.
